20+ hours on a bus?

I'd rather pay the extra $100 and fly.

we asked the guy who took us to newcastle and he qouted about $4500 for a return trip.
this did not include the cost of the drivers hotel and match ticket.
it worked out to be $85ea or thereabouts.
its something that may be looked at in the future but being stuck in a bus for 12 hours aint such a good thing.
especially on the way back if we loose

Surely ask the club to put a few of these on.
Ridiculous if they don't.

I know Adelaide did these coaches for regular season games, but for a game like this it should be a given.

We looked into prices before and it worked out to cost about $100 per person. You can get a return on Greyhound / Firefly for about that.

Really is it not worthwhile to fly rather than spend 24 hours on a bus.

The vast majority of people would rather fork out the extra money and fly rather than catch a bus.

There was a thread earlier in the season asking for expressions of interest in doing this to one of the Melbourne away games, I think 10 people said yes over a 3 month period.

The NRL supporters' group I am in did a road-trip down last season for the match against the Storm and it was $145 p/p which covered the mini-bus and the hotel (can't remember the name of it, it was in Jolimont). Left Sydney at 10pm and arrived in Melbourne about 9am the next day. If you've got extra time and numbers I highly recommend the road-trip. Takes longer but you can sink lots of brews on the way down and back, not to mention get a few chants going too!

Change the yellow to Sky Blue and the orange to Dark Blue, and you could have a winner!

There is also a Jolimont in Canberra. It's where the long-distance buses depart.

Shame it wasn't put up a week ago with the offer of getting the match tickets, a lot will have organised travel now. Hopefully they get enough for at least one bus.
