So most teams are 1/3rd into the regular season. So here's where all our teams stand:
Premier League: 2nd
But a couple of teams have a game in-hand and could leapfrog Loko and push us into 4th. We're 7 points behind Coogee, who've won 6 from 6. A win this weekend against Waverley is crucial to consolidate a spot in the top four.
Premier League Reserves: 2nd
We play a key catch-up match tonight against 3rd-placed Dunbar. A win would put Loko just a point behind first-placed Coogee and also put a nice buffer between us and the chasing pack. A loss would put us right back in the pack.
Despite some key players from last season stepping up to play Prems this season, our AA1s have proven they can still match it with any side in Division 1. Three draws sees us trailing the main contenders, but 3 points would put Loko right back in the mix. We get our chance against 9th-placed UNSW this Sunday.
Our AA2s made the step up after a successful AA3 season last year. Ater a shaky start (a heavy loss to current leaders, Maroubra, in Round 1) our lads have shown they are up to this level. A win this weekend would consolidate our position in the top four.
Four points outside the top 4, but have a good chance of staying in touch if they can beat 9th-placed Queens Park L this Sunday.
Will move into 4th spot if we win by 2 or more this weekend.
6 points outside the top 4 and need to string a few results together. We have a tough one against top-of-the-table Maroubra this Sunday.
Won the AA6 league last season, but have found life tougher in Div 5. In very much the same boat as the 5A team, needing to string together some results. They get their chance to prove their competitiveness in Div 5 against UNSW (5th) on Sunday.
After a blazing start of four wins in a row, our 6s have now lost two on the bounce. We should get back on course and should thump a Maccabi team coming last with no points, 3 goals scored and 23 goals conceeded.
But our lads have 2 games in-hand over most of the division. Win them both and we'd go equal top. This weekend the boys have a tough double-header, with Lions (2nd) on Saturday and then Dunbar B (3rd) on Sunday. A tough ask, but let's hope they start with a win on Saturday and see what happens from there!
A solid start from our lads, who'll be tested by Easts FC (2nd) this Sunday. This result will give a good indication of where we're at.
This is Loko's newest team. They're six points behind 4th place (the Loko As) and face a tough hit out against 1st-placed Coogee this Sunday.
This is one of our teams which has been starved of success over the years, but this looks to shape up as a great year for our lads. We won our first four games, but have since lost the last two. We should get back on track this weekend against Pagewood (9th).
Only 2 years ago most of this team had NEVER experienced a win. 3 seasons of losses has been turned around by an astute manager *cough*. We finished 2nd last year and currently sit 2nd this year even though the division is noticeably stronger.
O35 Div 2: 6th
Only 3 points out of the top 4, but come up against top-of-the-table Queens Park R this Sunday.
Another Loko side to have a great start to their season. They had their first loss last weekend, but can get back to winning ways against Heffron Hawks (9th) this Sunday.
AAW3: 11th (of 14)
We had a slow start, with three losses, but our goal difference shows that we've been competitive in every match. The results have started rolling in now (a win and a draw in the past 2 matches) and with a game in-hand Loko can get right back in the mix by beating 13th-placed Marounbra Angels on Wednesday night and 10th-placed Olympic Eagles on Sunday evening.
