First of all sorry for staying a new thread but I couldn't comment on the previous one.
In light of the fallout from the banner at the derby on Saturday night and having a fixture on the Friday night of Mardi Gras weekend, has the club given any further thought to including the rainbow flag into the strip for the game against Melbourne? The strip itself would not need to be fully rainbow, just something simple like the sleeve cuffs or the players numbers. These shirts could then be auctioned off with funds going to various LGBTI charities as we have done with previous kits.
Not only would this garner positive, free publicity around the club but would also achieve a far greater result than just some half hearted WSW apology or small FFA fine.
It may also help to boost crowd numbers and attract new permanent fans from the LGBTI community worth such a large number of them in the city that weekend.
Moving forward, it could become an annual fixture, much the same as Australia Day in Melbourne & Boxing Day in Adelaide.
